The Little Wave cardigan has been finished and worn for many months now. It’s the first time I knitted from a Gudrun Johnston pattern and it won’t be my last. Nice construction, well written, and the FO fits well.
And although the Brooklyn Tweed yarn recommended by the pattern is beautiful, I insisted on using a farm yarn.
I know that a singles yarn like this tends to not wear as well as a plied yarn, but it makes the perfect squooshy, comfortable cardigan.
The cardigan is a seamless saddle yoke that is knit from the bottom up. After the sleeves and body are joined, the top is worked. The little wave pattern continues on the back. I’m so, so pleased with the fit and the rolled cuffs.
To finish it off, I used handmade porcelain buttons from Melissa Jean Designs. So pretty and they are perfect!
