Yikes! It’s been a year since the last post. I have most definitely not abandoned fibery pursuits, just the recording of them here. To rectify this sad situation, I’ll start with what’s on the needles right now.
Current project number 1 is this scarf being worked up on US 8’s for the Red Scarf Project.
The yarn is Dream in Color Classy Worsted in Miami Red. It’s a squishy 100% superwash Merino that makes a good go-to yarn for gifting projects. Two skeins (~ 500 yards) are plenty to make a scarf within the project’s guidelines.
The pattern is Frostlight offered for free by Robin Ulrich. It’s a solid, easy-to-memorize pattern. The zigzags are created on the right-side (RS) rows. One RS row uses yo, ssk to make the zig. The next RS row uses k2tog, yo to make the zag. These rows are repeatedly alternated to make the zigzags. Easy peasy.
There’s more to come…I’ve got
three four other projects on the needles, a finished fantastic cardigan, fiber on and off the wheel, and fiber in the dyepots!
